How does it work?
Epsom Salt gets its magic from magnesium, which helps to bring down swelling and inflammation. It also helps to raise your magnesium levels overall. These days, almost everyone is at least a little magnesium deficient. Deficiencies cause muscle cramps, fatigue, and even sometimes anxiety or depression.
It's not easy to know just how deficient you really are, and magnesium is one of those things you definitely do not want to overdo. Supplements can be dangerous because they can easily skyrocket your magnesium levels far past their optimum zone. By contrast, an Epsom salt bath will gently and safely raise your magnesium levels to improve your overall health.
What does Epsom salt do?
Epsom salt helps you soak away muscle aches and pain, soothe injuries and recover faster from workouts. It also helps you get rid of foot smell, which is a pretty nice bonus. Did you get a mosquito bite or step into some poison ivy on your last camping trip? Epsom salt can chase the itch and irritation away as well.
It also has a few other uses that are not related to your health, necessarily, but are helpful just the same.

Published by Mansalt How Much Epsom Salt Should You Use in Your Bath?
While we won't judge if you use the "just dump it" method of getting your ManSalt Epsom salt into your hot bath, there is a proper "dosage." Using it will probably make your bag of ManSalt last a little bit longer while ensuring that you get enough salty soak goodness to reap all of the health benefits.
The dose? Two cups. It may feel a little strange to keep a cup measure in your salt soak bag, but that's the official answer. Less than two cups and you don't reap all the benefits. More than two cups and you're just wasting your salt...you don't get to recover from your workout even faster should you choose to use the entire bag.
That being said, dude, you do you. More salt isn't going to hurt you. It might hurt your wallet though, since you'll have to replace your bag of ManSalt that much faster.
What about the salt baths themselves? How often should you take them? You can take them every night, but you should take them at least three nights a week to reap all of the benefits.

Published by Mansalt Is stress turning you into a burnt-out wreck? You might want to heed the words of Dr. Pete Sulack, America's leading stress expert. He spoke out in a recent news report.
According to Dr. Sulack, Epsom salt is helpful for three reasons.
1. First, an Epsom salt bath with a nice fragrance encourages you to soak in hot water for awhile, which feels great. You can settle in and let the heat get to work. You can finally hear yourself think (or, like some guys, you'll enjoy a beer and drink it in the tub while watching to the game).
According to Dr. Sulack our bodies are highly deficient in both. When you correct deficiencies you improve your overall health. No wonder Epsom salt helps guys heal from injuries and recover from workouts so much faster!
So how often do you need Epsom salt baths to reap all these benefits? Ideally, two baths a week for about 40 minutes at a time. Of course, there's nothing wrong with taking even more salt baths than that. If you're living a super stressful lifestyle, do what you gotta do.
